ROLPA, March 6: Vote counting has begun in Rukum West. According to the preliminary results, Janardan Sharma of the Gatisheel Loktantrik Party has taken an early lead.
Out of 902 votes counted so far, Sharma has secured 412 votes. Gopal Sharma of the Nepali Communist Party has received 287 votes.

Similarly, Raju KC of the Nepali Congress has secured 88 votes, while Man Bahadur Shahi of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has received 22 votes.
Once considered a close aide of Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Sharma entered the election race after forming the Gatisheel Loktantrik Party and contesting under the ‘eye’ election symbol.
