KATHMANDU, Jan 26: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has intensified its election campaign in Jhapa–5 by launching a door-to-door outreach ahead of the House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5.
RSP has fielded senior leader Balendra Shah, popularly known as Balen, against CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli. Adding a personal touch to the campaign, Balen’s wife, Sabina Kafle, led the morning outreach on Monday, with party leaders saying the drive will continue throughout the day.

During the house-to-house visits, RSP leaders engaged directly with local residents, listening to their concerns, grievances, and suggestions. The party said the strong public participation and positive feedback have further energized its campaign in the constituency.
RSP said the outreach will resume this afternoon from 3 PM, starting at Padajugi Chowk in Kamal Rural Municipality–5. The route will head north through Guheshwari Tole, Tukre, and the Armed Police checkpost, before turning south via Pathibhara Tole and Ambika Chowk and concluding at Mangalbare Bazar.
