BAJURA, Sept 5: The Karnali Corridor road has been obstructed by a landslide at Bhukaha Khola in Jagannath Rural Municipality-5 of Bajura district following incessant rainfall since last night.
According to Inspector Gagan Singh Bhat, information officer at the District Police Office, Bajura, landslides occurred at sections of the Karnali Corridor in Bandhu of Himali Rural Municipality-7 and Jagannath Rural Municipality-5.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced
The landslide at the Bandhu section of the Karnali Corridor was cleared using a JCB excavator from PS Construction. However, the road remains blocked at the Bhukaha Khola section.
A three-member police team led by Assistant Inspector Ramesh Rawal from the Juddi Police Outpost has been deployed to the site to help clear the obstruction.
Vehicles heading to various destinations have been stranded along the road due to the blockage.
According to Information Officer Bhat, efforts are currently underway to clear the road at Jagannath Rural Municipality using a JCB excavator.
With continuous rainfall increasing the risk of landslides at several locations along the Karnali Corridor, police have urged travelers and drivers to remain alert.
