Karnali Province unanimously passes FY 2026/27 budget

SURKHET, July 3: The Karnali Provincial Assembly on Friday unanimously passed the provincial government's budget for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026/27.

Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Rajiv Bikram Shah tabled the proposal to endorse the Appropriation Bill, Financial Bill and the overall budget in accordance with the Provincial Assembly Regulations.

Speaker Nanda Gurung announced the budget's approval through a voice vote after no objections were raised by assembly members.

The next meeting of the Provincial Assembly has been scheduled for 3:00 pm on Monday.
