KARNALI, June 17: Madan Khadka has been re-elected as the Chairperson of the Karnali Province of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
Khadka secured victory in the party’s first Karnali Provincial Convention held on Tuesday, defeating his nearest rivals Nandakishor Basnet and Sneha Upadhyay.

According to the Election Committee, Khadka obtained 288 votes out of the 400 votes cast.
Similarly, Upadhyaya bagged 63 votes, while Basnet garnered 35 votes.
Khadka, who has now been re-elected to the position, is widely recognized for his significant role in expanding and strengthening the party’s organizational structure since its establishment.
Basnet joined the RSP from CPN (UML) in February this year. He had previously contested the House of Representatives election from Dailekh constituency no. 1.
