KMC orders six cooperatives to vacate office spaces within 15 days

The metropolis’ Legal and Human Rights Department urged office-bearers, employees, and members of the concerned cooperatives to contact the KMC within the stipulated deadline.

KATHMANDU, June 4: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has directed six cooperatives to vacate the houses, rooms, and flats they have been renting within 15 days.



Issuing a notice on Wednesday, the metropolis’ Legal and Human Rights Department urged office-bearers, employees, and members of the concerned cooperatives to contact the KMC within the stipulated deadline.

According to the metropolis, its judicial committee had earlier decided to remove the cooperatives from rented office spaces. To enforce the decision, the Implementation Committee, in a meeting held on May 27, issued a public notice giving a 15-day ultimatum.


The cooperatives listed for action include Satkar Sahakari Sanstha Limited (Ward No. 3), Amritambha Saving and Credit Cooperative Institution (Ward No. 15), Hirakhushi Multipurpose Cooperative Institution Limited (Ward No. 22), Marga Darshan Saving and Credit Cooperative Institution Limited (Ward No. 32), Nawal Sawal Saving and Credit Cooperative Institution Limited, and Panchrupa Saving and Credit Cooperative Institution Limited.
