KATHMANDU, June 5: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane has arrived in Kathmandu after a five-day visit to India, during which he held meetings with several senior Indian leaders, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi, Lamichhane was seen off by Nepal's senior diplomat in India, Dr. Surendra Thapa, and BJP Foreign Affairs Department chief Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale.
The visit, which began on Monday at the invitation of BJP President Nitin Nabin, included a courtesy meeting with Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday. Earlier, Lamichhane met Indian Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and other senior BJP leaders.

On Thursday, he also met U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor in New Delhi.
During the visit, Lamichhane interacted with officials at the Nepali Embassy, met members of the Nepali community and party supporters living in India, and made a personal visit to Ayodhya.
The delegation accompanying Lamichhane included his wife Nikita Paudel, RSP Joint General Secretary and lawmaker Bipin Kumar Acharya, and House of Representatives members Deepak Bohara and Pradeep Acharya.
The visit coincided with a three-day visit to India by Nepal's Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, which began on Friday.
