KATHMANDU, June 6: A man has been arrested on a charge of killing his wife following a domestic dispute at their residence in Balaju, Kathmandu.
Forty-two-year-old Kumar Thapa Magar, popularly known on social media by his pseudonym “Nepali Bro,” allegedly attacked his wife, 42-year-old Ishwari Bhujel, with an iron rod on Friday night, resulting in her death.

According to Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson at the Kathmandu District Police Range, Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, Bhujel, who was critically injured in the attack, died at around 11 PM while undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Maharajgunj.
Police have taken Magar into custody, and he is currently being held at the Balaju Police Circle for further investigation, the police said.
SP Bhattarai said the body has been kept at TUTH Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigation suggests that a domestic dispute escalated into a violent altercation in which the husband assaulted his wife, leading to fatal injuries. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing, police added.
