KATHMANDU, June 14: A man died after being electrocuted while operating a drill machine in Manahari Rural Municipality-6, Kolaghari of Makwanpur district.
According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the incident occurred at around 5:10 pm on Sunday when 39-year-old Mangal Bahadur Praja, a resident of Kolaghari in Manahari-6, was installing a door at a newly constructed house of Suresh Moktan in Pratappur.
Man dies of electric shock
Police said he suddenly received an electric shock while using a drill machine and sustained critical injuries.
His wife, Rasti Maya Praja, immediately rushed him to Manahari Hospital. After initial treatment, he was referred to Hetauda Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead at 6:55 pm during treatment.
His body has been kept at Hetauda Hospital for post-mortem, police said. Further investigation is underway by a team from Police Post Sunachuri, located around 5–6 km north of the incident site.
