KATHMANDU, Jan 17: Nepali Congress’s (NC) Central Working Committee (CWC) on Saturday decided to appeal to its leaders and cadres across the country to maintain unity and harmony and work collectively to take the party to a new level.
Addressing the media after the completion of the meeting, party spokesperson Devraj Chalise said the CWC meeting concluded that challenges, including upcoming elections, can only be addressed through internal unity, mutual goodwill and cooperation. He also informed that the party will make a formal call to its ranks nationwide to move forward together while preserving unity and harmony.

The meeting also decided to express appreciation for the leadership and contributions of former party president Sher Bahadur Deuba. He added that the party will now fully focus on election-oriented activities, with candidate selection to be carried out through the Parliamentary Board. Chalise also said that as the party has obtained official recognition in line with its statute and the constitution, there is no need for differing views on the matter.
