KATHMANDU, May 18: Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Arjun Narsingh KC has demanded that the government make public the report prepared by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on the Gen Z movement.
Speaking at Monday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, KC called for the release of the report prepared by a committee formed by the NHRC to investigate the incidents of September 8 and 9.

He said Parliament should also be informed about the report prepared under the coordination of NHRC member Lily Thapa. “On the 9th, for nearly 12 hours, Nepali citizens were left orphaned, without the state. The government must ensure such incidents never happen again; that is what the people want,” he said.
He also said that another report prepared by a probe committee led by former Special Court Chair Gauri Bahadur Karki has not yet been formally made public.
“These reports should not be hidden, nor should the public be misled. They must be released immediately, and those responsible should face the strictest legal action,” he added.
