NC President Thapa calls for exercising politics as means of service

KATHMANDU, June 14: Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Kumar Thapa has said transforming politics as a symbol and means of serving the citizens is the need of the hour. 



Speaking at a programme organised by the Kathmandu Metropolis ward-8 to honour the people contributing to the social service, president Thapa was of the view that social service would contribute to reinforcing democracy.

On the occasion, former Vice President Paramananda Jha was honoured. On the occasion, Jha said the local government is the body to address the locals' issues. 


On the occasion, 70 people who included representatives from literature, art, sports, government services, health, entrepreneurship and other senior citizens were honoured.
