KATHMANDU, April 11: The Nepal–India University Professors Conference began in the capital on Friday, bringing together academics, researchers, and intellectuals from universities in Nepal and India for a three-day dialogue on language, literature, and academic collaboration.
Literary critic Prof. Basudev Tripathi inaugurated the conference. During the inaugural session, a book titled *“The Role of Nepalese and Indian Universities in the Development of Nepali Language and Literature”*, edited by Narendra Raj Prasai and Indira Prasai and published by Naiee Academy, was launched.
Erosion of professors’ prestige
Member-secretary of Naiee Academy, Narendra Raj Prasai, said the publication features 25 in-depth research articles focusing on various universities in Nepal and India.
Organisers said the conference is expected to further strengthen academic cooperation between Nepal and India, particularly in the fields of Nepali language, literature, and research.
