KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Nepal secured their third consecutive victory in the ongoing third edition of the ACC Premier Men’s Cup One-Day Cricket Tournament in Malaysia, defeating Saudi Arabia by five wickets at Biomass Oval today.
Chasing a modest target of 191 runs, Nepal reached the target in 41 overs for the loss of five wickets. Gulshan Jha remained unbeaten on 44 runs, hitting three fours and three sixes off 35 balls.

Ishan Pandey scored 40 runs, while Dev Khanal and Rohit Kumar Paudel contributed 37 and 24 runs, respectively. For Saudi Arabia, Ishtaq Ahmed and Mahmoud Atif took two wickets each.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia, who won the toss and elected to bat first, were bowled out for 190 runs in 49.2 overs. Abdul Waheed top-scored with 77 runs, while Mahmoud Atif added 30.
For Nepal, captain Sandeep Lamichhane and Dipendra Singh Airee took three wickets each, while Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi claimed two wickets.
With three consecutive wins, Nepal have moved to the top of Group A. The victory also secured Nepal a place in the semifinals with one group-stage match still to play.
