KATHMANDU, April 20: The Twenty20 International series between Nepal and United Arab Emirates begins on Monday, with the first match set to be played at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground at 5:00 pm.
The two-match series marks a historic moment for Nepali cricket, as it will feature the country’s first-ever international matches played under floodlights. Although floodlights were installed earlier and used during the Nepal Premier League, this will be the first time an international fixture is held in such conditions.

Branded as the “Under Lights T20 Series,” the matches are expected to draw significant attention from fans. The Nepali side will be led by Dipendra Singh Airee, with regular captain Rohit Paudel and a few senior players rested. The Cricket Association of Nepal has instead opted to provide opportunities to younger players in this series.
Nepal will be aiming to celebrate this milestone with a win, while the UAE will also be looking to start the series on a strong note.
The second match of the series will be played on Tuesday, also in the evening at the same venue. Following the T20 series, Nepal is scheduled to host League 2 matches at the same ground starting Saturday.
