KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Among 116 diplomatic missions and embassies representing various countries in South Korea, ambassadors from three countries were specially honored with the “Excellent Ambassador Award Best.”
At a program organized in Seoul by the Korea Consumer Global Council, the award recipients included Nepal’s Ambassador to Korea, Dr Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe, along with the ambassadors of Peru and Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Embassy of Nepal in Seoul, the event was attended by various diplomatic figures, business representatives, and members of the community. On the occasion, Ambassador Dr Tumbahamphe stated that the recognition was not only a personal achievement but also an honor for all Nepali workers, students, and members of the Nepali community engaged in various professions in South Korea. She expressed confidence that the award would further strengthen bilateral relations between Nepal and South Korea.
Highlighting that Nepal and South Korea have completed 50 years of diplomatic relations, Ambassador Tumbahamphe noted that continuous cooperation, collaboration, and friendly ties have been maintained between the two nations. She reaffirmed her commitment to further deepening bilateral relations and expanding new possibilities in economic, social, cultural, and labor cooperation in the days ahead.
The organizers also stated that the other two ambassadors were honored in recognition of their contributions to consumer welfare, international cooperation, and the promotion of mutual relations.
