KATHMANDU, May 14: The four-day “Defence Correspondent Orientation Programme” conducted by the Nepali Army at the Army Headquarters in Bhadrakali since May 11 concluded on Thursday.
During the closing ceremony, Assistant Rathi Rajaram Basnet, director of public relations and information, distributed certificates to 29 journalists who participated in the orientation programme.

On the occasion, five FM radio stations that have been broadcasting Nepali Army radio programmes in Kathmandu and surrounding districts for a long time were also honoured with letters of appreciation.
The participating journalists were briefed on various aspects of the Nepali Army, while interaction sessions were also held on disaster response and other contemporary issues.
The Nepali Army said it believes the orientation programme will help journalists working in different parts of the country gain greater clarity and ease in collecting and reporting news related to the Army.
