KATHMANDU, March 22 : Nepal’s Ambassador to Denmark and non-residential envoy to Finland, Sumnima Tuladhar, formally presented her Letters of Credence to Alexander Stubb, President of Finland, during a recent ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Tuladhar conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of President Ram Chandra Paudel, wishing continued peace, progress, and prosperity for the people of Finland. President Stubb congratulated Tuladhar on her appointment and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure.

The meeting also included discussions on strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Finland. Ambassador Tuladhar briefed the Finnish side on recent political developments in Nepal, including the successful conduct of the House of Representatives elections held on March 5, 2026. President Stubb welcomed the development and expressed support for Nepal’s democratic progress.
Earlier, the ambassador presented copies of her credentials to Jukka Salovaara at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland. On that occasion, she appreciated Finland’s continued development cooperation in Nepal, particularly its contributions to improving the lives of women and children. Both sides also discussed broader aspects of bilateral ties and people-to-people relations.
Following the ceremony, Ambassador Tuladhar held a meeting with Jari Sinkari, Director General for Asia and Oceania, during which discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in trade, tourism, investment, energy, information technology, and services.
Senior officials from Finland’s foreign ministry, members of the Presidential Palace, and representatives of the Embassy of Nepal in Copenhagen were present at the ceremony.
