KATHMANDU, June 10: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased marginally by 2.57 points to close at 2,736.17 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,733.49 points and surged to the day’s high at 2,743.57 points in the first 17 minutes. As the market corrected by around 12 points in the next moment as it again escalated to similar height in the midway of trading hours. The market shed around seven points in the second half to close for the day.

Six sectors were the gainers as hotels and tourism added the largest of 41.75 points. Of the losers, life insurance topped with a decline of 40.75 points.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, decreased 0.35 points. Daily turnover dropped to Rs 4.29 billion from Rs 6.44 billion.
Among the individual companies, 127 were the gainers as 134 lost their charms for the investors. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 280.04 million.
Kalinchok Hydropower Limited stood as the topmost gainers 14.99 percent. Prabhu Bank Debenture 2086 witnessed the highest fall of 8.71 percent in its market value.
