KATHMANDU, June 3: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased marginally by 2.66 points to close at 2,780.25 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,777.58 points and declined to 2,769.51 points in the first 47 minutes. The index then rose to the day-high at 2,798.89 points in the next around one hour. The market went to a declining trend and shed around 18 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Seven sectors were the gainers as non-life insurance and life insurance surged by the largest of 380.16 points and 217.40 points, respectively. Of the six losers, ‘others’ group plunged by 51.14 points, the largest of all.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, increased 1.93 points. Daily turnover inclined to Rs 5.73 billion from Rs 5.26 billion.
Among the individual companies, 148 were the gainers as 117 lost their charms for the investors. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 442.30 million.
Kalinchok Hydropower Limited stood as the topmost gainers 14.99 percent. Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited witnessed the highest fall of 5.18 percent in its market value.
