KATHMANDU, July 23: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday inclined 14.17 points to close at 2,726.72 points.
The index fell to the day’s low at 2,689.64 points within one and a half hours. The market however escalated successively for the second half of the trading time, gaining 0.52 percent in overall index.

Despite an increase in the NEPSE index, trading volume declined to Rs 4.69 billion from Rs 5.18 billion. Among individual companies, the market value of 153 companies increased, 111 decreased and 12 remained unchanged.
Out of the 13 subgroups, the indices of 11 increased in the intraday trading. The trade sub-index increased the most by 2.58 percent. Likewise, the hydropower sub-index increased by more than 1 percent. The indices of the investment and the ‘other’ subgroups were corrected by modest percent.
Reliance Spinning Mills Limited posted the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 283.31 million. Everest Colour Limited inclined up 14.99 percent as Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower plunged by the highest of 15 percent.
