KATHMANDU, March 24: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday inclined 23.83 points to close at 2,960.40 points.
NEPSE opened at 2,936.56 points added around seven points in the pre-opening session. The index fell to the day’s low at 2,929.55 points in 16 minutes. However, the index bounced back by adding 21 points in just the next 20 minutes. The market slumped for the next two hours before taking an upward graph. In the last 13 minutes, the market jumped around 13 points.

Sector-wise, eight were the gainers as the trading group escalated 345.67 points. Of the five losers, life insurance declined by the largest of 51.86 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies added 1.97 points. Daily turnover was recorded at Rs 14.83 billion, down from Rs 15.78 billion on Monday.
Among the individual companies, 136 were the gainers and 117 were the losers. Radhi Bidyut Company had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 674.38 million.
Two companies including Salapa Bikas Bank Limited and Reliance Spinning Mills were the topmost gainers of 10 percent. First Micro Finance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited with a decline of 6.56 percent in its market value was recorded as the highest loser.
