KATHMANDU, April 27: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday plunged 26.16 points to close at 2,770.26 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,796.43 points and hit the day’s high at 2,812.3 points in the first 10 minutes. The market, however, went to a straight fall and reached the day’s low at 2,765.44 points in the last seven minutes. The market recovered around five points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Only ‘others’ gained 14.73 points. Of the 12 losers, manufacturing and processing plunged by the largest of 292.94 points.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, also shed 2.14 points. Daily turnover inclined to Rs 6.53 billion from Rs 4.74 billion.
Among the individual companies, 42 were the gainers as 213 lost their charms for the investors. Palpa Cement Industries had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 583.34 million.
Corporate Development Bank Limited witnessed a decline of 14.99 percent in its market value and was recorded as the highest loser. Himalayan Bank Limited Bond stood as topmost gainer of 4.74 percent.
