KATHMANDU, April 14: President Ramchandra Paudel has said the New Year is an occasion for us to set a common national goal and resolution for its achievement.
President Paudel wished peace, prosperity, health, and happiness to all Nepalis while delivering a message of best wishes on the occasion of the New Year, 2083 BS. He reminded all Nepalis of the need for cultured behavior to achieve the set goals.
New Year’s resolutions for business success
The existing calendars are parts of our history and civilization, he said, adding that they remind us of glorious past and inspire us for a prosperous future. "The New Year is an auspicious occasion for Nepalis to review the past and make resolutions for future progress," the Head of State added.
The President also stated in the best wishes message that Nepal recently held the House of Representatives (HoR) election successfully, thereby giving an exit to the adverse situation the country was facing.
"Through the HoR election, people have given a mandate to their representatives for rule of law, sustainable peace, good governance and social justice that reinforce the federal democratic republic," President Paudel mentioned, arguing that it is a reflection of people's aspiration for development and prosperity.
He also stressed the urgency of making a resolution to achieve national goals. The resolution must be for adhering to the ideals of a federal democratic republic through words, action and intent. Keeping the citizen at the center and committing to good governance, inclusion, and social justice are vital, and maintaining the country's independence and sovereignty is equally essential.
Paudel wished the New Year 2083BS inspired everyone to work in unison to foster harmony, tolerance, trust and cooperation so that the goal of a federal democratic republic could be realized.
