NICCI and NBI sign MoU to organize Nepal Business Summit 2026

KATHMANDU, April 29: Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI) and Nepal Business Institute (NBI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly organize the Nepal Business Summit 2026, scheduled to be held on May 18, 2026, said NICCI secretariat in a press release.



The agreement was signed at the NICCI Secretariat in Narayanchaur, Naxal, by Kunal Kayal, Vice President of NICCI, and Bishal Gaire, Executive Chairperson of NBI.


According to the two organizations, the partnership aims to strengthen Nepal’s business ecosystem by creating a platform for dialogue, collaboration and knowledge exchange among key stakeholders.

According to the press release, the summit will feature panel discussions focused on bridging policy and practice, as well as connecting ideas with implementation strategies. Organizers said the event is expected to produce consolidated recommendations aligned with international best practices.


Speaking during the signing ceremony, Kunal Kayal said the summit could contribute to developing a comprehensive roadmap for policy formulation and implementation to support Nepal’s economic transformation and long-term prosperity, the press release said. 


The press release further stated that under the partnership, NICCI and NBI plan to promote both domestic and international business engagement while positioning Nepal as an attractive investment destination, particularly in the context of political stability and a strong parliamentary majority government.


The collaboration also aims to facilitate interaction among policymakers, bureaucrats, diplomats, business leaders, development partners, academicians and representatives from various sectors.


Representatives from both institutions expressed confidence that the partnership would contribute meaningfully to Nepal’s long-term economic development and strengthen cooperation within the country’s business community.
