Nirmal Niwas to open for three hours for public greetings on former-king Gyanendra’s birthday

According to a statement issued by his communication secretary Phaniraj Pathak, a special programme will be held at Nirmal Niwas on the occasion of the birthday, where the former king will receive greetings from supporters and invited guests.

KATHMANDU, June 17 : Former King Gyanendra Shah will meet well-wishers at Nirmal Niwas in Kathmandu on the occasion of his 80th birthday, officials said.



According to a statement issued by his communication secretary Phaniraj Pathak, a special programme will be held at Nirmal Niwas on the occasion of the birthday, where the former king will receive greetings from supporters and invited guests.

The statement said the venue will remain open for the public, supporters, organisations and well-wishers from 11 am to 2 pm on July 7.


Such gatherings are held annually on the former king’s birthday, where supporters and well-wishers meet him and extend greetings.
