KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Norway has provided emergency relief supplies to Nepal through the European Union’s Civil Protection Mechanism as the country continues to respond to the devastating Bhotekoshi floods.
The first flight carrying assistance donated by Norway landed in Nepal on Tuesday, bringing medical, energy and technical equipment for flood-affected communities.

At the airport, Isabelle D’Haudt, EU ECHO’s Rapid Response Coordinator for Asia and the Pacific, formally handed over the shipment to Mahabir Pun.
The delivery marks another step in the ongoing international response to the disaster. More flights carrying assistance from participating countries are expected to arrive later this week.
The arrival of the supplies reflects the continued commitment of European partners to support Nepal as it deals with the aftermath of the Bhotekoshi floods.
