OAG annual report submitted to Koshi Province Chief

BIRATNAGAR, June 2: The annual report of the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) for the fiscal year 2081/82 BS (2024/25) has been submitted to Koshi Province Chief Parashuram Khapung. 



Deputy Auditor General Shree Kumar Rai presented the document to the Province Chief today.

Receiving the report, the Province Chief said that the document would prove to be a milestone in strengthening financial discipline, and accountability.


Stating that the OAG has been making continuous efforts to curb financial irregularities, prevent the accumulation of arrears, and control corruption, he urged it to remain more vigilant in controlling unnecessary public expenditures. 


On the occasion, Rai said audits of 721, out of a total 753 local- levels, have already been completed. 


However, remaining local governments that lost documents and archival records during the September 8-9 Gen Z movement have faced difficulties in finalizing their audits, according to him.
