KATHMANDU, June 27: Nepal’s top communist leaders are set to come together on a single platform during a special event marking the 75th birth anniversary of late communist leader Madan Bhandari, popularly known as People’s Leader, bringing together leaders from different factions of the left movement.
Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari will attend the event as the chief guest. The program will feature speeches from CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal, NCP Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal, Senior Leader Jhala Nath Khanal and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal Chair Upendra Yadav.

The event has drawn attention as Oli and Madhav Nepal are set to share the stage after a long period, following years of political differences and shifting alliances.
Organized by the Madan Bhandari Foundation, the event will include a discussion titled “Nepal’s Communist Movement and Madan Bhandari” and the Madan Bhandari National Award distribution ceremony. The program will be held at the National Assembly Hall at 1:30 pm on June 28.
