NAWALPARASI, April 22: One person died in a road accident at Sisne along the East-West Highway in Gaindakot Municipality-10 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).
A Tata Sumo (Ba 2 Jha 3854) heading from Gaindakot to Kawasoti struck a pedestrian late last night. The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Shyam Bahadur Bhujel of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-25, Chitwan.

Bhujel, who was seriously injured in the incident, died during treatment, according to the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East). Superintendent of Police Yubaraj Khadka confirmed the fatality.
Police have taken the vehicle and its driver into custody and have launched an investigation. The vehicle involved in the accident belongs to the Treasury and Comptroller Office (Kolinika) of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), police said.
