KATHMANDU, July 12: The National Planning Commission (NPC) has entered 8,310 projects in the National Project Bank (NPB) this year.
According to the NPC, it approved the aforementioned number of projects and listed them into the NPB during the preparation of the budget for fiscal year 2026/27. Among the entered projects, 7,773 were study-related, 404 were new projects and 133 were ongoing projects submitted through the National Project Bank Management Information System.

Of the approved projects, 8,199 have investments of less than Rs 1 billion. The NPC has stated that 111 projects with investment of more than Rs 1 billion have been approved for entry into the system.
The NPC says that the general assessment of additional projects submitted by agencies of the federal government is currently underway. According to the NPC, the classification, entry and management of projects through the Project Bank Management System has been carried out systematically and in a phase-wise manner.
