KATHMANDU, May 18: A new digital learning platform, the ‘Pahilo Paila’ app, has been launched to make Nepali language, culture and modern education more accessible to children around the world through an interactive and structured digital curriculum.
The app was formally launched at a program in Kathmandu by senior educationist Suśhil Bhakta Mathema, veteran singer Lochan Bhattarai, poet and lyricist Ananda Adhikari and actress and brand ambassador Keki Adhikari.

According to the organizing institution Pahilo Paila Education, the digital school aims to blend learning with engagement, helping children study Nepali language and cultural values alongside subjects such as science, mathematics and social studies through modern, play-based methods.
Founder Madhav Neupane said the platform is designed to foster reading habits among children while strengthening creativity and critical thinking. He added that the initiative seeks to reconnect Nepali children across the globe with their language and cultural roots through digital learning.
Chief guest Mathema said that the disappearance of a language leads to the erosion of culture, stressing that language, culture, and traditions form the core of a nation’s identity and existence.
Singer Bhattarai described the initiative as a potential milestone in promoting Nepali language and culture, particularly by encouraging children to begin learning from an early age.
Actress Keki Adhikari called the launch a moment of transformation, saying the app will play a vital role in preserving and promoting the Nepali language while reconnecting diaspora children with their cultural heritage.
