KATHMANDU, Sept 9: The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives has decided to conduct a study and analysis of the impacts of the Rasuwa flood on the national economy, as well as issues related to climate finance.
For this purpose, the committee has formed a seven-member subcommittee under the coordination of lawmaker Sushila Khadka. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Finance Committee held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday.

The subcommittee comprises Narendra Kumar Kerung, Parashuram Tamang, Dr Pushpa Raj Kandel, Lima Adhikari, Pushpa Chaudhary and Sushant Vaidik, in addition to coordinator Khadka.
Finance Committee President Dr Krishna Hari Budhathoki said the subcommittee has been tasked with studying the economic impacts of the Rasuwa flood and issues related to climate change and climate finance. The panel has been asked to submit its report by September 18.
