According to the notice, lawmakers must submit updated details of assets owned by themselves and their family members, along with information on the source of those assets and the necessary supporting documents, within 60 days of the end of fiscal year 2025/26—that is, between July 17 and September 14, 2026.
The Secretariat also reminded lawmakers that public office holders are legally required to submit their asset details within 60 days after the end of each fiscal year. It said the provision is intended to promote financial transparency, accountability and good governance among public officials.
The Secretariat further warned that failure to submit asset details within the stipulated deadline would invite legal action in accordance with the law and urged all lawmakers to comply on time.
