KATHMANDU, July 11: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) has invited complaints against three individuals proposed for the posts of chief election commissioner and election commissioners.
Issuing a public notice on Friday, the PHC called on individuals to register complaints with the Committee within 10 days.
Complaints can be filed in either Nepali or English against Man Bahadur Karki, who has been proposed for the post of chief election commissioner, and Dr Rajeev Subba of Kathmandu and Guru Prasad Wagle of Okhaldhunga, who have been recommended for the posts of election commissioners by the Constitutional Council.
A meeting of the Constitutional Council held on July 3 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Balendra Shah decided to recommend their names for appointment. The committee published the notice on July 10.
