KATHMANDU, May 29 : Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is presenting the national budget for fiscal year 2026/27 in a joint session of the federal parliament.
Prime Minister Balen Shah is also present at the budget session, marking his attendance in Parliament during a key national fiscal presentation.

His previous absence from parliamentary sessions had drawn criticism from opposition parties, which had at times disrupted proceedings over the issue.
The budget presentation is currently underway in the federal parliament, outlining the government’s annual income and expenditure plan for the upcoming fiscal year.
