KATHMANDU, Aug. 10: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has stressed the need to further strengthen Nepal’s historic relations with China and enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Shah made the remarks during a courtesy meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar on Monday.
Envoy stresses strengthening US-Nepal economic ties
According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the two sides held positive discussions on strengthening Nepal-China relations, enhancing development partnerships and promoting bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
During the meeting, Ambassador Zhang congratulated Shah and extended his best wishes to the prime minister. He also expressed China’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting with the Chinese envoy came hours after Shah held a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Nepal Navin Srivastava.
