KATHMANDU, April 17: Police have arrested 24 individuals from various parts of the country in possession of illegal narcotic substances during routine patrol operations.
According to police, two individuals were arrested with brown sugar from Baniyatar in Tokha Municipality-8, while one person was apprehended from Bhatkepati in Bhaktapur Municipality-10. Similarly, two individuals were arrested from Pachui in Belauri Municipality-8 of Kanchanpur, one from Trinagar Barrel in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-2 of Kailali, and another from the same area.
As per the Central Police News Desk, one person was arrested with brown heroin from Godawari Municipality-1 in Kailali, one from Butter Tol in Ratnanagar Municipality-11 of Chitwan, and two from Hattisud in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-11 of Rupandehi.

In Jhapa, five individuals were arrested from Surunga in Kankai Municipality-3, while two more were apprehended from Tappu Chowk in the same municipality.
Likewise, two individuals were arrested from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-11 in Morang, two from Benitar in Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality-4 of Tanahun, and two from Rapti Rural Municipality-1 in Dang.
All arrests were made on Thursday, and further investigation into the cases is ongoing, police said.
