Police recover two bodies following Karnali Force vehicle crash

Two bodies were recovered on Monday morning as search efforts continued for passengers missing after last week's Force vehicle crash into the Karnali River.

BIRENDRANAGAR, July 6: Two bodies were recovered on Monday morning as search efforts continued for passengers missing after last week's Force vehicle crash into the Karnali River.



One body, believed to be that of a man aged around 35, was found in Sungurkhal of Mohanyal Rural Municipality-6 in Kailali, while another was recovered from the Buringe area of Lamkichuha Municipality-3. Police suspect the bodies could belong to passengers, the driver or the co-driver who went missing after the accident.

According to Karnali Province Police Office Chief DIG Jaya Raj Sapkota, the identities of both bodies have yet to be confirmed, and relatives of the missing have been called in for identification.


Police are also continuing the search for a missing woman believed to have been swept from the Bheri River near Jahare in Gurbhakot Municipality into the Karnali River. Search and investigation efforts are ongoing.
