KATHMANDU, July 9: Nepal Republic Media is set to host the Power Nepal Conclave 2026 today, bringing together policymakers, energy experts, investors and industry leaders to discuss the future of Nepal's energy sector.
The conclave aims to promote dialogue on making Nepal's energy sector more sustainable, investment-friendly and competitive, with discussions ranging from power generation and transmission to policy reforms, green energy and private sector participation.
Biraj Bhakta Shrestha will attend the event as the chief guest, while former Indian government secretary and energy expert Anil Swarup is scheduled to deliver the keynote address.
Two-day Huawei Digital Nepal Conclave 2022
The event will feature two panel discussions. The first will focus on Nepal's energy ecosystem, covering electricity generation, transmission, distribution, energy efficiency and the role of the private sector. The second session will examine financing options, investment expansion, policy reforms and innovative financial instruments needed to accelerate the country's energy transition.
According to the organizers, the conclave will bring together national and international energy experts, policymakers, industrialists, bankers, investors and representatives from institutions involved in the energy sector. Discussions will also cover green energy, digital infrastructure and strategies to attract greater private investment.
The organizers expect the event to contribute to more effective policymaking, strengthen public-private partnerships and foster a more investment-friendly environment for Nepal's energy sector.
