KATHMANDU, June 23: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has said that politics must focus on collective national transformation and result-oriented governance, regardless of where party members come from.
Addressing the party’s ongoing national convention closed session, Lamichhane emphasized that expecting different outcomes through traditional political practices is unrealistic, and that genuine change must be reflected in both mindset and behaviour.
He said that if political conduct, power struggles, and factionalism continue in the same old pattern, the results will also remain unchanged.
“We trust journalist Rabi Lamichhane but not Home Minister Rabi...
“Political character remains the same, power struggles remain the same, the race for influence remains the same, and if factional conflicts continue in the same way, then the outcomes will also not change,” he said.
Lamichhane added that although the party comprises individuals from diverse backgrounds, its core commitment remains focused on national interest.
“Wherever and however one has come from, there is a shared commitment within this blue identity to work for the nation,” he said.
He further stressed that achieving new outcomes requires a fundamental shift in political thinking, working style, and practice, warning that attempts to achieve change without such transformation would fail.
“If someone believes they can achieve different results using the same old methods, that is nothing but a daydream leading to failure,” he said.
