KATHMANDU, May 28 : Nepal’s MMA fighter Rabindra Dhant is competing against Philippines’ Kimbert Alintozon in the quarterfinal of the Road to UFC Season 5 in Macau.



Road to UFC is considered a direct pathway to the UFC main roster, with today’s bout carrying major significance for Dhant’s chances of securing a historic UFC contract.

Dhant enters the fight with an impressive professional record of nine wins from ten bouts, while Alintozon holds seven wins and three losses.


Dhant was originally scheduled to face Matty Ian, but the opponent was replaced after Ian withdrew due to injury, with Alintozon stepping in on short notice.


The 27-year-old Nepali fighter rose to prominence after winning the bantamweight title at Matrix Fight Night (MFN) 17 in India, where he secured a knockout victory and established himself as one of Nepal’s leading MMA athletes.
