KATHMANDU, June 25: Preparations for the second phase of the election at the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)’s First General Convention have begun after the completion of the first phase of voting to elect 99 central committee members.
RSP Spokesperson Manish Jha said preparations are underway to begin the second round of voting at 4:00 PM today.

The election will be held for six office bearer posts, excluding the party president and senior leader positions, Jha said. The posts include two vice-presidents, one general secretary, and three joint general secretaries.
Under the RSP’s 19-member office bearer structure, one of the three vice-presidents, one of the two general secretaries, and two of the five joint general secretaries will be appointed through nomination.
In the first phase of voting for central committee members, 2,959 votes were cast. Out of 4,311 representatives, 1,352 did not participate in the voting.
