KATHMANDU, June 26: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has released the preliminary candidate list for the second phase of elections under its First National General Convention, setting the stage for a competitive contest for key office-bearer positions.
The list shows that nominations have been filed for the posts of vice-president, general secretary, and joint general secretary under various categories.

The joint general secretary (open) category has attracted 11 candidates competing for two posts, while five candidates are contesting a single women's joint general secretary post.
The race for general secretary has also drawn significant interest, with 10 candidates vying for one position.
In the vice-president category, two candidates have entered the contest for the women's post, while only one candidate has filed for the men's post. Dr. Swarnim Wagle has been elected unopposed as vice-president.
