KATHMANDU, June 30: The ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has revised the final list of central committee members elected through its first general convention, correcting what it described as a technical error in the vote count.

According to the party's Central Election Commission, Pooja Bastola and Dhruva Kumar Thapa Magar have now been declared elected as central committee members. As a result, Som Sharma and Krishnaman Shrestha have been removed from the final list.

The commission also acknowledged an error in the vote tally for the Gandaki Province geographical category. Following a review, it found that Bastola should have been declared elected but Sharma was mistakenly announced the winner due to the counting error.

The revised results were issued after Bastola filed a complaint with the election commission, claiming irregularities in the counting process and alleging that a candidate who had secured fewer votes had been declared elected.
