KATHMANDU, May 11: The wait for SEE results may finally be over, as the National Examination Board (NEB) is preparing to publish the results of this year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE), likely on Tuesday.
The board has expedited the remaining work after the government set May 12 as the final deadline for publishing the results.
Tuk Raj Adhikari, Controller of Examinations for Grade 10, said preparations are in the final stage.
“We have completed the work of entering students’ scores into the computer, and the verification process is also almost complete. If no technical issues arise, we will publish the results on Tuesday,” he said.
SEE results vibe!
The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCoE) has also issued a notice explaining how students can check their SEE results. According to the office, students will be able to access their results through SMS services and official websites.
This year’s SEE examination began on April 2 at 1,966 examination centers across the country. A total of 512,421 students appeared in the examination, including 23 students from an examination center in Japan.
The examinations concluded on April 12. Following the government’s directive to publish the results within a month, the board has been preparing to release them by May 12.
In previous years, SEE results were generally published around three months after the examinations. However, this year, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokharel had instructed the board, even before the examinations began, to publish the results within one month.
To speed up the process, answer sheets were checked within three days after the examinations ended at the respective centers.
How to check SEE results
The NEB on Monday published a list of websites and services through which students can check their SEE results.
Students can access their results through SMS, IVR and various official websites. Nepal Telecom has arranged result services through calls, SMS and USSD on 1600.
The results can also be viewed through the websites of the OCoE Grade 10, the NEB and Nepal Telecom.
