Sindhupalchok records highest rain in last 24 hours

Meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane said that in the past 24 hours, there has been significant rainfall mainly in the hilly areas, while the Tarai regions of Madhesh, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces received comparatively less rain.

KATHMANDU, July 23: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) said that in the last 24 hours (as of 12:27pm), the highest rainfall was recorded in Sindhupalchok at 97.2 mm. According to the department, Lamabagar in Dolakha received 81.4 mm of rainfall.



Meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane said that in the past 24 hours, there has been significant rainfall mainly in the hilly areas, while the Tarai regions of Madhesh, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces received comparatively less rain.

According to him, in the last six hours, the most rainfall was recorded in Jajarkot at 5.6 millimeters. During this period, there was also light rain in areas around Kathmandu, Surkhet, and Kailali.
