Six members appointed to National Planning Commission

The newly appointed members are Arjun Jung Thapa, Prof Dr Sanjay Acharya, Dr Devendra Gauchan, Reshu Aryal, Prof Dr Sudan Jha, and Dr Pukar Malla.

KATHMANDU, April 9: The government has appointed six new members to the National Planning Commission (NPC). Earlier, the government had appointed Gunakar Bhatta as the Vice Chairperson of the NPC.



The newly appointed members are Arjun Jung Thapa, Prof Dr Sanjay Acharya, Dr Devendra Gauchan, Reshu Aryal, Prof Dr Sudan Jha, and Dr Pukar Malla.

Among them, Thapa is a retired secretary from the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport. Acharya is a professor of economics, while Gauchan is a researcher specializing in development and planning.


Similarly, Aryal is an educationist, Prof Dr Jha is a professor in the field of engineering, and Dr Malla has been active in the non-governmental sector and was associated with the Nepal Leadership Academy.
