KATHMANDU, July 21: South Korea has sought to employ 7,200 Nepali workers in 2026 under the Employment Permit System (EPS) system.
According to the EPS Korea Section Lalitpur, the estimated number of successful candidates will be selected through the points-based system. Depending on the points achieved, the number of workers could vary.

Of the total number of required workers, 5,000 will be selected for the manufacturing sector. Korea has requested 2,000 Nepali workers for the agriculture and animal husbandry sector. Likewise, 100 each for the service sector and forestry sector have been sought to work as migrant workers in South Korea this year.
EPS Korea Section has called on interested candidates to apply between July 27 and August 2. Candidates who pass the first-stage language test will be included in the final selection only after getting through the second-stage skill test and performance assessment.
