ROLPA, June 27: Deputy Mayor of Swargadwari Municipality, Minraj Rana Magar, died in a road accident in Pyuthan on Saturday evening.
According to Mayor Tek Prasad Bhandari, Rana Magar died at the scene after the vehicle he was driving met with an accident.

Pyuthan Police Chief DSP Narahari Adhikari said Rana Magar was found trapped beneath the vehicle. Police said he was alone in the vehicle when the accident occurred.
The accident took place at around 5:00 pm at Bangeshal in Ward No. 2 of Swargadwari Municipality while he was travelling from Swargadwari towards Dhanwang. The vehicle (Lu Pra 01-001 Jha 0008) plunged around 400 metres off the road before coming to rest against a tree.
Rana Magar was elected deputy mayor from the Rastriya Janamorcha in the 2022 local elections.
